Workshops + Events

Workshops are offered a few times a year in our studio for those who want to “get their hands dirty” and discover for themselves the joy of creating with natural materials and colors. Weaving classes are offered in a small group but private lessons can also be arranged to suit your schedule.

Botanical Eco Printing

Discover the magic of plants ! Learn how to create eco-prints using leaves, flowers, bark and roots on textiles.

Shibori and Indigo

Shibori is the Japanese art of "tie-dye" Indigo is an ancient blue dye derived from various species of indigo plants. They are perfect partners for creating special blue and white patterned textiles.

Yarn Dyeing with Plant Dyes

Are you a knitter ? or weaver ? Did you know you can dye yarn with natural colors from plants ? Learn how in this workshop and then make something truly natural and unique !

Jeans Makeover

Discover the art of mending and wear your favorite jeans for years to come. Learn the traditional skills of patching and stitching to artistically mend the holes in the knees of your jeans and wear your art with pride!

Woven Postcards

Capture a holiday memory in a postcard sized weaving. Travel with your mini loom and create wherever you are!

Textile Collage

Create a colorful collage from all your textile scraps. Make a composition, stitch it together, embellish with more stitching and admire !

Tataka-zome Printing

Prints are made by gently pounding fresh flowers and leaves on to prepared cloth. The results will surprise you !

Year-round offerings

Weaving lessons for beginners

Arrange a private lesson to learn the basics of weaving. Once you have the basics you can join the weaving group.

Weekly weaving group

Start a project and get ongoing guidance to take you from start to finish. Enjoy the creative company of other weavers.

Private workshops

Plan a workshop! Spend a few hours relaxing and getting creative with your friends or family and learn about the magic of plants.
