A new story for textiles

We strive to create beautiful clothing and fabrics for your home in harmony with nature, to give value back to the handmade and promote a fundamental shift in how you view, use and live with textiles everyday.

The clothing you wear and the textiles you use in your home carry stories about you and your life. We collect textiles with a past and renew them with natural color and pattern. Wearing these garments, the story continues with you.

THE PROCESS

We collect vintage and pre-owned textiles or organically produced fabrics made from natural fibers and make them into handmade garments or textiles for your home. We use traditional skills such as weaving, sewing, mending, knitting and dyeing with natural plant dyes.

Each piece is unique - how we work with a garment depends on what it offers. Its existing qualities of fiber, color, and form will suggest its transformation. We use what’s on hand, or what we’ve been given, and envision a new life for a garment.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Michelle grew up with art and nature. Her mother was a painter and their weekends and holidays were spent at the beach or in the woods of California. While her mother sketched, she was free to roam and poke around the forest floor, wade in icy streams and collect shells on the sand.
